Why this project?

KoalaSync perfectly synchronizes video streams across multiple devices. While it supports Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube, it was specifically built to bring frictionless watch parties to self-hosted servers like Emby, Jellyfin, and Plex. Absolutely zero tracking, no databases, and no forced sign-ups. Just share a room link. It is strictly MIT-licensed and you can easily spin up your own private real-time WebSocket backend via Docker. The ultimate privacy-first alternative.
